Terms of Use
Last updated · August 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of menyamori.com (the “Website”), including event bookings and ramen kit orders, operated by Menya Mori (“we”, “us”) in Edmonton, Alberta. By using the Website you agree to these terms.
1. Event bookings — holds, payment, and confirmation
- Submitting a booking holds your seats as pending. It is not a confirmed reservation until we receive your e-transfer payment.
- Pending bookings are held for the window shown at booking time (typically 2 hours for events). If payment is not received within that window, the hold expires automatically and the seats are released — no refund or credit is owed for lapsed holds.
- Your e-transfer memo must include the memo code shown at booking (e.g. MORI-XXXX). Payments we cannot confidently match may be delayed or, if the hold has expired, released.
- Seats are held per person (party size). Prices are in Canadian dollars and are shown per seat before you book.
- If you can no longer attend, contact us as early as possible at hello@menyamori.com. Confirmed bookings may be transferred or credited at our discretion; we are a small shop and last-minute no-shows genuinely hurt.
- We may cancel or reschedule an event (for example for weather or illness). If we cancel an event and cannot offer a suitable alternative, confirmed payments will be refunded.
2. Kit orders
- Kit orders work on the same pay-to-confirm basis: your order is held pending e-transfer (typically 24 hours) and confirmed once payment lands.
- Same-day kit orders may have an order cutoff time shown at checkout; orders placed after the cutoff roll to the next available pickup day.
- Kits must be picked up on the chosen pickup day during shop hours. Perishable components mean we can’t guarantee freshness past the pickup day.
3. Menu, hours, and availability
Menu items, ingredients, pricing, limited-time offerings (限定), and hours may change at any time without notice. Event seat counts update in real time, but a submitted booking always wins over an unfinished form. Nothing on this Website is an offer, and we reserve the right to refuse service in accordance with applicable law.
4. Allergens and dietary restrictions
Allergen and dietary information on this Website is general in nature. Everything is made from scratch in a single kitchen that handles wheat, soy, egg, sesame, shellfish, fish, and other common allergens. If you have allergies, note them at booking and speak with our staff before eating — we take notes seriously but cannot guarantee an allergen-free preparation.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to interfere with the Website’s operation, security, or booking infrastructure, including automated booking or inventory-grabbing scripts;
- Submit bookings or orders you do not intend to pay for;
- Scrape, copy, or reuse substantial parts of the Website’s content without permission.
We rate-limit and may cancel bookings that appear fraudulent or automated.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this Website — text, photography, video, logos, design, and code — is owned by Menya Mori or used with permission and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share links to the Website freely; any other reproduction or commercial use requires our written consent.
7. Third-party links
The Website links to third-party services such as Instagram. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Website is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Menya Mori will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
